Our Team

  • Founding President: Henry Jacob

    I am an incoming History Ph.D. student at Yale and a WHC Environmental Humanities Fellow. Currently, I am a Fulbright scholar in Panama City, Panama.

    Before that, I was a Henry Fellow at the University of Cambridge in the M.Phil. in World History program. My dissertation won the Mavis Batey Prize. Before, I graduated from Yale with a B.A. in History with distinction and a Certificate in Spanish. I received multiple prizes, including the Alpheus Henry Snow Prize. My writing has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed and popular venues.

  • Vice President: Shreya Sriram

    Shreya Sriram is a senior at Northwestern University where she majors in Economics and Communication Sciences and Disorders on the Pre-Medicine track. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Undergraduate Research Journal where she leads a team of over 50 students in creating and releasing online content and a full length research journal. Shreya pursues her intellectual passions through her individual research in the Auditory Research Laboratory. Shreya hopes to explore the intersections of economics and healthcare as well as the importance of the patient experience in medical school. When not on campus, she can be found volunteering at Lurie Children's Hospital, performing stand up comedy, practicing Bharatanatyam (a Classical Indian dance style), or playing the violin in orchestra.

  • Managing Director: Jamie Gemmel

    Jamie Gemmell is a History Masters by Research Graduate from the University of Edinburgh. His research is focused on race and coloniality in the seventeenth-century Atlantic World. He is currently a lead on a publishing project with the Northern Early Modern Network. As a postgraduate student, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Retrospect Journal.

  • Assistant Director: Tevž Sitar

    Tevž is a law student at the London School of Economics and an editor of LSE Law Review. His research interest lies primarily in constitutional law and contracts. Originally from Slovenia, he now enjoys life in London where he loves going out to restaurants and theatres with his friends. In his free time, he loves visiting art galleries, learning new languages but most of all he finds great pleasure in working on SUHP projects and helping young students pursue their academic interests in whatever fascinates them most.

  • Assistant Director: Alex Smith

    Alex Smith is a third year Ancient History student at the University of Edinburgh. He wrote as a columnist for Retrospect, the student led History, Classics and Archaeology Journal, and now takes part in UCCF's Civitas program for students interested in politics. He is particularly interested in researching ancient military history and early Christian history. Originally from Kent, England, when not studying Alex can be found exploring the countryside or at the Christian Union.

  • Assistant Director: Esther Reichek

    Esther Reichek is a junior at Yale and managing editor of The Yale Historical Review. She likes ancient languages and modern novels.

  • Head of Outreach: Chynna Hinrichsen

    Chynna Hinrichsen graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a BA in International Relations and a minor in Cultural Diplomacy. During her undergraduate education, she served as the Lead Editor and Director of Public Relations for the Journal of Law and Society. Chynna is currently a USC Master of Public Diplomacy student, awaiting law school admissions decisions. She works as a research assistant at the USC Gould School of Law International Human Rights Clinic and is publishing a legal note on substantive due process post-Dobbs. Her goal is to become a diplomat-lawyer specializing in international human rights law.

  • Head of Design: Kelly Zhou

    Kelly Zhou is excited to be a part of the Publish & Prosper team. In addition to history, she is deeply interested in interdisciplinary work and is majoring in Computing and the Arts with a concentration in graphic design. Along with computer science and fine arts, she loves exploring a variety of disciplines and art fields, including music, film production, and ornithology.

  • Nicole Tian

    Nicole Tian (she/her) is a first-year at Yale College and a prospective History and Computer Science double major. Her interests lie in 20th century American legal history, and she is particularly fascinated by modern social movements. She is a staff member on the Yale Historical Review and volunteers on external projects for the Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association. Nicole also enjoys spoken word poetry, scootering, and hiking with friends.
